Gaze (White), Videorecording 8 mins.This work is an exercise in performed auto-ethnography, and is based on a live performance first presented at the Centre for Performance Studies at the University of Sydney in 2016. It consists of three monologues with images and sounds that address the topic of Australian racism (each monologue recounts a specific instance of racial abuse experienced by the artist). The work contains language they may offend some spectators.
