Background
Four new paintings, acrylics on canvas, size 50x50cm, five paintings from Geelong Series, cabinet of process with sixteen new paintings 15x15cm and two new paintings 10x10cm. This series expands my explorations on architectural forms drawn from memory. It presents spatial abstractions of my experiences in Geelong as criticism to architecture forms in the city. My technique and materials generate perception of void and space.
Contribution
This series adapt on paintings techniques to represent abstracted architectural spaces through void and space, boundary and undefined forms. I draw from memory evoking spatial experiences that I think are relevant for architecture to recognize and understand.
Significance
The work was exhibited at Deakin Library Gallery in the exhibition Form I Shadow I Space: Analogical Perceptual Artefacts. A workshop was offered to architecture students on drawing from memory in the exhibition space.
