The work Op-Objects are inspired by the qualities of the objects found in op-shops. They are at once historical and contemporary in that they are fitted with lenses, portals, screens, sensors and servos. In the gallery space at Kings ARI the objects not only offered the audience an opportunity to watch new narratives play out in old Australian Impressionist works in digital animations, they also were implicated in the space themselves - literally recognised by the object, which would shake and jiggle when the viewer moved into a certain position.
