Roads, paths, and walking tracks support and mediate our movements through the world. The materials and textures of these surfaces are intimately connected to the everyday navigation of and relationship with local landscapes. ROAD WORKS is an interactive exhibition that invites gallery visitors to explore the ways in which their response to textures and materiality influences how we use and reshape the pathways through shared spaces. Large moveable puzzle-like artworks can be moved and traversed, allowing visitor to measure their movement and participate in designing the paths that we co-create and choose to follow.
