Application of grey clustering method to appraisal of reliability of existing buildings

In this paper, grey clustering method is introduced into the appraisal of the reliability of existing buildings. According to the experience from engineering practices and reliability theory of building structures, clustering index, quantified criterion and clustering classes are confirmed. Whitenization weight functions are constructed for grey clustering analysis. This method can not only exactly judge the reliability grade of the structure, but also display the subjection of various samples to different grades in grey clustering coefficient matrix.
