Four brachiopod assemblages are recognized including: the early Bashkirian Productus productus-Ovatia karawuyiensis Assemblage, the late Bashkirian Antiquatonia taiyuanfuensis-Eomarginifera lata Assemblage, the early Moscovian Choristites radiculosus-C. abnormalis Assemblage and the late Moscovian Purdonella artuxensis-Punctospirifer Assemblage. Three new species are proposed herein: Rugosochonetes tarimensis, Ovatia karawuyiensis and Choristites ustritskyi.
