Conducting effective focus groups which successfully capture children's voices can be achieved by encompassing the advice of those with specialist expertise. This review summarises the advice of experienced child focus group moderators whose wisdom we found useful when planning feedback forums with children who received family case management at Windermere Child and Family Services. The documents utilised in our program were by Faith Gibson (2007), Jennifer Gibson (2012), Kruger and Casey (2009) and Morgan, Gibbs, Maxwell and Britten (2002) and covered generic, proven strategies which should be considered when planning focus groups with children.
