© 1994-2012 IEEE. This paper found that a novel hyper-chaotic based image encryption scheme is vulnerable to chosen plaintext attack. By performing permutation before the vector partition and adding two-round crossover diffusion at the end of the encryption, the security of the original scheme has been greatly improved.
