Data detection with imperfect CSI using averaged likelihood function
For the coherent detection, the detection performance depends on the channel estimation error. To improve the detection performance, we consider the use of the averaged likelihood function to take into account the reliability of the channel estimate. The resulting detection approach, which is called the maximum averaged likelihood (MAL) detection, can be seen as an extension of the generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT) detection. In this letter, we show the relationship between the MAL detection and other existing detection methods. © 2008 IEEE.
