Design of perfect reconstruction filter banks using transformation of variables and refactorization

A technique is presented for the design of perfect reconstruction filter bank. The technique is a combination of transformation of variables and refactorization. Linear phase filters with even length can be achieved. Good quality filters can be obtained with ease with this method.
