Eri silk: product development and marketing

The production of silk from the eri silkworm is discussed. The major problems related to the development of ericulture are the lack of systematic methods of fibre processing and of a suitable product range and the non-availability of information for potential buyers. Ways of overcoming these difficulties and current developments in eri silk production and marketing are outlined.
