With the wider applications of membrane structures, the requirements to shape design become more multifarious. The force method, which is introduced the concept of surface force density of membrane element, is used to find the form of tensility structures. This method enables to quickly find the individual form to different force density under the same boundary conditions. The optimized reposition balance method for force-finding analysis usually is employed to accurately evaluate the self-balance prestress of tensility structures. So a combination of the force method of surface force density with the optimized reposition balance method, facilitates completing whole process of shape design.
