Heteronuclear tin(IV)-silver(I) complexes with phosphinothiolate ligands. X-ray structure of [AgSn (μSC₆H₄PPh₂) ₂Me₂ (PPhMe₂)] CF₃SO₃·CH₂Cl₂

posted on 2001-03-09, 00:00 authored by J Aznar, E Cerrada, M B Hursthouse, M Laguna, C Pozo, M P Romero[SnR 2 (SC 6 H 4 PPh 2 ) 2 ] (R=Me or Ph) react with silver complexes such as [Ag(CF 3 SO 3 )(PR 3 )] (PR 3 =PPh 3 and PPh 2 Me) to give [AgSn(μ-SC 6 H 4 PPh 2 ) 2 R 2 (PR 3 )]CF 3 SO 3 (1-4) where silver atom are coordinated to the PPh 2 group of the phosphinethiolate ligand as confirmed in the X-ray crystal structure of [AgSn(μ-SC 6 H 4 PPh 2 ) 2 Me 2 (PPh 2 Me)]CF 3 SO 3 ·CH 2 Cl 2 (2). Similar tin derivatives [SnR 2 {(SC 6 H 4 ) 2 PPh}] (R=Me, 5; R=Ph, 6) where synthesised and reacted with [Ag(CF 3 SO 3 )(PR 3 )] and [Ag(CF 3 SO 3 )] to give in both cases [AgSn{μ-(C 6 H 4 ) 2 PPh}R 2 ]CF 3 SO 3 (R=Me, 7; R=Ph, 8)
