A planar three electrodes system (PTES) chip which is consisted of planar Au, Ag/AgCl, and Pt electrodes on ITO (Indium-Tin Oxide) glass is fabricated using state of the art inkjet printing technology to serve as biosensor for electrochemical detection of biomolecules. The electrochemical detection of melamine and dopamine is successfully performed with this PTES chip and established higher sensitivity in comparison with traditional commercial three electrode system, indicating this PTES chip has great potential in practical applications as electrochemical sensor for biomolecules.
