Integrating Literacy in The Geography Classroom

Effective literacy and numeracy is the domain of all teachers. Within the Humanities, content-specific language becomes increasingly crucial as students progress through different levels. With this in mind, it is salient that students develop an understanding of terminology, not through rote-learning, but in context, allowing them the scope to apply and use language effectively in their work.
