A novel composite was prepared by adding caboxymethylchitosan (CCS) into natural rubber latex (NRL) via latex compounding. The results show that the cross-link density appreciably reached to 5.75 × 10 -5 mol/cm 3 . Comparing with pure natural rubber (NR) films the mechanical property of natural rubber/ caboxymethylchitosan (NR/CCS) composite films was enhanced to 11.25MPa because of the cross-linking affect and the flexibility modulus of the composite film increase, which makes composites more rigid. Moreover, it is proved that hydrogen bonds existed between the molecular of NR and CCS through NMR cross-linking and DMA measurement.
