AbstractWe present a new method to the problem of finding ‐exponential state estimates for a class of 2‐D positive discrete‐time systems with bounded time‐delays. A less conservative sufficient condition for the ‐exponential stability is derived and tighter ‐exponential state estimates are provided. The effectiveness of the presented method is illustrated through two numerical examples.
