Explosive welding is a complex process involving various phenomena influenced by a series of parameters in a noticeably short
span of time which affect the morphology and eventually the quality of the weld. Therefore, this paper aims to investigate the
influence of these parameters on material behavior with a series of numerical simulations based on a meshless approach. The
developed model is based on the SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) method and is used to investigate Ti/Cu system behavior
as a case study. Examples of the resulting temperatures and pressures as a function of process setup are presented within
the paper. The results obtained demonstrate how weld morphology is related to the process conditions.
