Predicting the critical strain for dynamic recrystallization using the kinetics of static recrystallization
journal contribution
posted on 2000-07-28, 00:00 authored by Matthew BarnettMatthew Barnett, G L Kelly, Peter HodgsonPeter HodgsonAn equation for the critical strain for dynamic recrystallization (DRX) was derived by recasting an empirical static recrystallization equation in terms of the time from the beginning of deformation. The expression shows good agreement with the critical strains for DRX established from the strain versus static recrystallization kinetics data. It also correlates well with an equation for the critical strain for DRX that was derived from the peak flow stress.
