To enhance the piezoelectric of PAN, PAN membranes with different content of BaTiO3 nanoparticles were pre-pared via electrospinning method. The piezoelectricity of the membranes were tested and analyzed by homemade power generating device, SEM, FTIR, XRD and dielectric spectrometer. The results showed thatthere wasa uni-form distribution of BaTiO3 nanoparticles modified by silane coupling agent (KH550)in PAN nanofibers. The output voltage and dielectric constant of PAN/BaTiO3nanocomposites with 12.5% BaTiO3nanoparticles were both increased by 300% compared with that of PAN membrane, while the dielectric loss of PAN/BaTiO3nanocompos-ites with 12.5% BaTiO3nanoparticles was decreased by 67% compared with that of PAN membrane. The results of FTIR and XRD showed that BaTiO3nanoparticles promoted the transformation of conformation for PAN from 31helical conformation to zig-zag conformation, consequently enhanced the piezoelectricity of PAN.
