Reflection of contact lens practice

As we approach the end of 2019, we naturally starting to think toward the year to come and for all of us as eye care practitioners the year 2020 will have many amusing connotations but perhaps it is also a time to reflect. For one of us (CAW), thinks back to the mid to late 1990s. I attended a meeting hosted by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness. The meeting was a precursor regarding a partnership they were entering into with the World Health Organisation with the aim of launching a global initiative to promote ‘A world in which nobody is needlessly visually impaired, where those with unavoidable vision loss can achieve their full potential’.
