Relationship between perceived job search progress and job search activities: Mediate effect of job search emotion

The study concentrated on the path of emotion in job search process. Data was collected in two waves among 295 university graduates. Hierarchical regression analysis show that job search emotion is a fully mediator in the relationship between perceived job search progress and job search activities. This result emphasizes on the role of emotion in the job search process. The authors bring forward some suggestions to college graduate students and employment guidance personnel. © 2012 Peking University.
