In this paper, we consider the robust observer-based control design problem for discrete nonlinear systems with disturbances. A new approach is proposed to provide less conservative Linear Matrix Inequality control design conditions and enhance the robustness of control designs, where the observer and controller gains are computed independently. Both the one-sided Lipschitz condition and the Linear Parameter Varying approach, which are two well-known alternatives to the classical Lipschitz condition, are considered to address nonlinearities. Two numerical examples are presented to illustrate the superiorities of the new approach over the traditional H∞ approach as well as relevant works in the literature.
