Scalability in formal concept analysis

journal contribution
posted on 1999-02-01, 00:00 authored by R Cole, Peter Eklund
A methodology for exploring knowledge in text documents is developed using formal concept analysis by employing conceptual scales created as a result of direct manipulation of a line diagram. The conceptual scales lead to small derived purified contexts that are represented using nested line diagrams. An algorithm is developed for the fast determination of purified contexts from a compressed representation of the large formal context.
