We envision an application of a system of k-drones for providing services for users (with mobile devices) over designated areas, what we call Drones-as-a-Service (DaaS). We provide algorithms for allocating drones to service requests and experimentally investigate, via simulated environments, the question of the number of drones required to service particular areas, the difference that knowledge of future requests can make, and the effects of spatiotemporal locality of requests.
