Yoga is a series of mental, physical and spiritual practices used to enhance wellbeing and achieve harmony. Yoga has been practiced for thousands of years. Several forms of yoga exist but Hatha yoga is the most widely used. Regular yoga has a range of health benefits for people with diabetes such as reduced insulin resistance, improved cardiovascular health, stress reduction and improved physical strength and flexibility. It is generally safe but individual benefits and risks need to be considered.
