The title compound, C<sub>14</sub>H<sub>12</sub>O<sub>4</sub>, crystallizes as discrete mol­ecular species which form hydr­oxy-to-ketone hydrogen-bonded dimers disposed about crystallographic centres of symmetry.<br>
