Elsa Gemel tells about Aisoli Salin's initiation into becoming a chief; the significance of this cultural practice in their society. Wilma Kadilagowa tells about Aisoli's activites after returning from Australia; especially the Malagan initiation processes and its significance. She also tells of Aisoli's values and the impacts on her life and finally Aisoli's death, funeral and how she contributed to this event.
