Fiery creek. Connecting the catchment

Farmer Bill Weathley says that when you live along a creek, you view everyone who lives upstream with suspicion and everyone who lives down stream, with contempt. The health of the Firey Creek has suffered because of the disconnection between the exploitation of the creek and the meaning and significance it has in people’s lives. As those for whom the creek is important reflect on their experiences of life along the creek, this meaning and significance emerges, creating a new narrative of connection that provides basis for revaluing the creek and returning it to health.
