Research statement

This prototype augmented reality experience visualises the amount of C02 emissions produced within the City of Melbourne due to different transport types. This research project explores the use of immersive reality technology to communicate complex ideas, as well as the way in which artistic visualisation of data can contribute to changes in human behaviour. This prototype experience allows for the capture of data (post-COVID) to begin to tease out general public responses to immersive reality technology as a mode of communication, education and knowledge transfer. Additional areas of investigation include impact of tech-driven technology, user interface, and the intersection of education and immersive technologies.
