Background This is an opinion piece written for Taiwan Research Hub, University of Nottingham, for its online magazine: Taiwan Insight Contribution The piece discusses the dilemma of being a Taiwan celebrity who pursues career in mainland China. It demonstrates the complicated politics of celebrities in China. Significance The opinion piece attracted media attention. I was invited to comment on the Taiwan celebrity issue.
