Live Soundtracks: The film works of Dirk de Bruyn

This project invited melbourne musicians to provide soundtracks to three of my 16mm films, which included Feyers, available from the National Film and Sound. It allowed a musical collaboration and re-use of old footage, which was at times placed in a different order through digital manipulation. This project allowed me to connect to the sonic music community in Melbourne and Brisbane which had re-discovered my practice a decade earlier and understood it as part of the “Visual Music” tradition.
