The Commission released its Assisted Reproductive Technology & Adoption: Position Paper One—Access on 11 May 2005. This was the first in a series of three papers which outlined the Commission's interim recommendations and gave people a chance to comment before preparation of a final report.
The paper called for comment by 6 June 2005 and the Commission received over 350 submissions.
The paper includes information and interim recommendations about:
access to assisted reproductive technology
self-insemination
gamete donation
posthumous use of gametes.
