Research statement

Background Deakin University was engaged by the Australian Government Department of Education to prepare this resource as part of the Australia-Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Strategy. The contents of this resource do not reflect the views of the Australian Contribution Starting with the institutional strategy and where internationalisation aligns with that, this framework outlines the key capabilities for internationalising higher education (HE) across the main areas including curriculum, research, transnational education (TNE), student and staff mobilities. Significance The framework aims to support the development of HE internationalisation capability for staff, students, alumni, institutions and a range of external stakeholders. It informs the development of strategic and operational internationalisation plans, priorities and actions. The framework can be used as a benchmark to consider current strategies and practices of internationalisation in HE.
