Starting with the institutional strategy and where internationalisation aligns with
that, this framework outlines the key capabilities for internationalising higher
education (HE) across the main areas including curriculum, research,
transnational education (TNE), student and staff mobilities.
Significance
The framework aims to support the development of HE internationalisation
capability for staff, students, alumni, institutions and a range of external
stakeholders. It informs the development of strategic and operational
internationalisation plans, priorities and actions. The framework can be used as
a benchmark to consider current strategies and practices of
internationalisation in HE.
