Two cross-sectional surveys were conducted in 2004 and 2005 in the Greater Green Triangle region in<br>the south east of Australia. They were conducted to acquire data concerning chronic disease and their risk factors in these areas. This report presents the basic results from the two surveys. The results provide some explanation for the high levels of morbidity and mortality from chronic diseases in the region.<br>
