Research statement
Background A synthesis of published research conducted into per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) with the view to understanding their interactions with landfill liner and surrounding materials. Conducted for the Victorian Environmental Protection Authority. Contribution The review covers the known and anticipated interactions of the major types of PFAS compounds with modern engineered landfill liner components to inform on potential emission risks. Significance Informs the Vic EPA on emission risks associated with modern state-of-the-art landfill lining systems.Publisher
