The gambling industry in Tasmania has been evaluated in a series of impact studies since 2008. The current volume, the Second Social and Economic Impact Study of Gambling in Tasmania provides findings from 2011. This report was created in partnership by ACIL Allen Consulting, The Problem Gambling Research Centre (PGRTC) and the Social Research Centre (SRC) by the Tasmanian Department of Treasury and Finance. This summary report provides an overview of the findings, including the broad economic, financial and social impacts and prevalence of gambling in Tasmania.
