engResearch statement
In December 2019, WA Police issued a ‘Request for Quote’ (RFQ) to undertake an examination of the operation and effect/s of two key patron banning provisions currently used across WA: barring notices and prohibition orders. After a competitive tendering process, in 2020 WA Police contracted Deakin University to lead the study. The WA Police Patron Banning Evaluation Project commenced in June 2020 - as externally funded project PJ06533 & RM38221. This is a commercial in confidence project, comprising five separate research reports, and an overview/recommendation report. All reports are solely authored by the project team, led by Dr Clare Farmer. External research publications are not expected, as this is an 'in confidence' project funded by WA PolicePublication classification
