A Grounded Theory of Design Innovation in Hospital Design: Contextualising and Understanding How Research Informs Practice

<p>This thesis conceptualises the evolution of hospital building design and identifies and explains the main factors triggering design innovation over the past 100 years. This study informs future innovation in hospital building design by highlighting the strength of different contextual factors and interactions among them triggering design innovation and recommending new research areas.</p>
