A new approach to the microstructural design of dual phase steel

This thesis was aimed towards the development of precipitation strengthened dual phase steel with a novel microstructure, achieved through the design of steel composition and thermomechanical processing parameters. The development was targeted to improve the stretch flangeability in dual phase steels to extend their application in automobile components involving complex shapes.
