This thesis investigated the effects of developmental conditions on thermoregulation in the heat in zebra finches (Taeniopygia guttata). The findings show that developmental conditions have life-long consequences for heat tolerance. In addition, this research has contributed to a better understanding of inter and intra-individual variations in thermoregulation in birds.
