Analysis of lipid metabolism under nitrogen starvation in microalgae

This thesis focused on resolving the underlying processes involved in triacylglycerol synthesis under nitrogen starvation in microalgae with biofuel potential using omics approaches. The findings indicated that triacylglycerol was primarily de novo synthesised and provided a dynamic view of the metabolic and transcriptomic changes under nitrogen starvation.
