Attachment and Carer Burden: A Diathesis-Stress Perspective

The findings of the studies reported in this thesis organised the longitudinal carer burden literature by identifying the factors which best predict change in burden over time. Moreover, this thesis explored the links between attachment orientation and burden, and provided the first evidence showing that attachment orientation predicts burden longitudinally.
