This thesis examines the perspectives and practices of seven Victorian early childhood educators concerning intentional teaching in outdoor play-based settings. It uncovers that early childhood teachers' conceptualisations and implementations of intentional teaching are influenced by diverse sociocultural factors beyond their professional knowledge and perceptions.<p></p>
