This thesis through narrative inquiry methodology and a single case study, uncovers what it is like to experience becoming musical in regional Victorian classrooms. Stories from three teachers and their principal provide insights into how factors such as policy, physical spaces, repertoire, time and perceptions of music and music teacher practice impact music education.<p></p>
