Bio-colouration of PAN with Fine Powders of Pigmented Alpaca Fibres

This study investigates the fabrication of alpaca pigment from the waste alpaca fibres, and bio-colouration of the alpaca/PAN (polyacrylonitrile) composite fibres to avoid the utilisation of toxic and corrosive synthetic colourants to ensure an eco-friendly textile colouration process. This study further supports the recycling, sustainability, and circular economy.
