Carbon fibre surface modification for high temperature (600C) composites.

This research investigates surface modification of carbon fibre for use in high temperature applications. The findings pointed toward successful modification of the fibre surfaces in addition to improved mechanical and interfacial properties of the modified fibres, both at standard temperatures and after exposure to elevated temperatures.
