Caregivers and Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI): Discovery and Help-Seeking

This research aimed to better understand caregivers' experiences of discovering non-suicidal self-injury and subsequently seeking help. Findings indicated caregivers experience deleterious effects of NSSI discovery and that seeking help for NSSI may be a recursive and ongoing process. Support and inclusion of caregivers by services and professionals is indicated.
