Celebrating difference

This thesis examines contemporary Australian short fiction and poetry by writers from four different cultural communities. The study demonstrates that by celebrating difference these narratives challenge Anglo-Celtic cultural dominance, contribute to the changing directions in Australian literature and address the problems inherent in diverse cultural communities living together.<p></p>
