Climate change heavily impacts the agricultural sector, as it heavily relies on weather conditions for commodity production. Climate change disrupts farming productivity by crop growth, water availability and disease pressure, among other factors. As part of a broader research project, workshops were conducted in the Gippsland and Sunraysia regions, to inform farmers of the development of new tools and information regarding climate change and adaptation strategies. As part of that process, and within this study, farmers were asked to comment on their current perceptions of climate change and explain any actions they are taking to adapt to its effects.
